About

Cynthia Wilson founder of  “Chaplain of Pop” LLC ministry and co-founder of related church outreach ministry programs has over the decades built a bridge between theology, celebrity and  political commentary from life experiences and through a network of blogs she began while a student at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Her calling grew into an ongoing ministry of creative helps and spiritual guidance through inspirational online messaging that began with input on message boards back in 2003 after she met notable musicians at a benefit concert for the Songbird Foundation. Her blogs have contained news, celebrity updates, poetry, music and concert reviews, movie reviews and political commentary.

She has consistently except when she had intense cyber bullying  challenges beginning in 2010 maintained an interest in a ministry of presence at concerts of her favorite musicians and various benefit concerts including as an Assistant to the Community Affairs Supervisor of the Jackson’s Victory Tour way back in 1983-84. One of her duties was identifying underprivileged youth organizations for distribution of donated concert tickets. She has received media credentials as a blogger to report on notable benefit concerts including “Live Earth”,Virginia Tech”, “Live Aid” and she has also organized fan gatherings and has initiated innovative onsite visit programs in collaboration with organizations such as Energy Action that set up booths on concert venue grounds to provide information supporting artists’ social causes such as John’s AKOG. She has also provided outreach and spiritual guidance through prayer and providing a ministry of presence “being there” virtually or in real time for artists upon request, except when she was challenged with a bout of physical illness. Through the grace of God she has recovered and strongly desires to get back on track with her music ministry.

Cynthia has encouraged other clergy to become supportive to the artist and music communities through seminaries, churches and community outreach programs. And, she believes some churches she attended and approached in the past have already built proposals and made contact with artists based on her data, papers and pioneering experiences.

Praise God! The math thing was a joke. I guess you got the humor.
