Prayers Up!

Today I am lifting up special prayers for those who we don’t know are struggling with COVID and other illnesses because for some reason or other, their condition has not been shared with their communities. So the following link to an earlier prayer podcast that I recorded is dedicated especially to you. Perhaps you or your caregiver can provide an audio or visual message from them or you if you are able, that I can post on this blog and our  Facebook Pray in Place Prayer Circle to authenticate that you are indeed standing in the need of prayer for a serious health condition. I promise I will post it as soon as possible and circulate it to churches and the broader community. You can send it”to cynthiawilsonministries@gmail.com or creativessel@gmail.com. In the meantime, please listen to the podcast episode below, a prayer for your healing, uplift and encouragement.

Give Whitney Good Love,Prayer and Care

As our hearts break upon the recent and unbelievable news of yet another beloved music icon's untimely death, let us pray to god for her and her family. Let us also pray to god to help in the understanding and healing transformation of a cultural pathology which makes death at a young age so common among our great recording artists. Such a sad fact to face on this Sunday morning that Whitney Houston will no longer be here among us. Yet many of us will find a measure of consolation in her phenomenal talent which remains worthy of respect and celebration beyond her years. Perhaps we should question intently the quality of care provided our treasured artists with the same degree of fervor and zeal we purchase their records, concert tickets, download their music and clamor for more. Rest in peace and may god rest your soul...

Today's word is a message about joy as well as a prayer for those in need. I am dedicating it especially to our nation today during this time of downgrade. Let's keep the spirit of the U.S.A lifted up.

Prayers for Japan

Japan indeed is a wealthy country and the yen has amazingly soared after the worst natural disaster in its history. However, Japan is still very much in need of support in moral, spiritual and financial form. It was reported recently that fundraising for this disaster has lagged behind the last two disasters, including Haiti, Katrina and the Tsunami which all but demolished areas of Thailand and Sri Lanka.

Efforts are underway to raise funds and people from ordinary citizens doing art fundraisers to our national government sending in troops and supplies are all pitching in to save Japan. Please do what you can whether it be one dollar or a million dollars. The important thing is to give from your heart sincerely and with love.

Oh Freedom

"Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, " If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. They answered him, "We are descendants of Abraham and have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean by saying, "You will be made free?" Jesus answered them, "Very truly I tell you everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not have a permanent place in the household; the son has a place there forever. So if the son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:31-36

Soar in the freedom of the word today', knowing you have been set free.

Peace,

cynthia
