I read an article this morning by New York Times Opinion Columnist Nikolas Christof which sends a strong message and ignites a reciprocal need to weigh in and respond to the reality that children have died and are dying as a result  cutbacks in humanitarian relief  once provided by US AID. One such program affected, Prepfar, was established by a Republican president  George Bush and has in the past saved millions of lives. See blog post  written about it in 2007.
